Aquila, Age 18
My name is Aquila and I am 18 yrs old. I graduated from Hyde Leadership Public Charter School and now I’m attending Delaware State where I am majoring in nursing. My first year at Delaware State was kind of rough. I was a little home sick, the work load was a little overwhelming, and I just didn’t think that it was for me, but soon that changed. Things got better and I got on track with my schoolwork and it was better in the end. I ended my freshman year strong.
I Have a Dream helped me financially big time because without them, I probably wouldn’t have even been able to attend college or reach my dreams. With the help of IHAD all that is ahead of me is possible and I can move forward towards my dream of becoming a doctor and being successful in the future with my future husband and kids.
