Ashley, Age 18
My name is Ashley and I am 18 yrs old. I attended Maya Angelou Public Charter School and Spingarn Senior High School, but didn’t complete my years there. I soon went to Job Corps where I got my GED in 2010. Next year I will be attending the Community College of the District of Columbia and studying nursing.
I Have a Dream has helped me financially and has helped me through a lot in my life personally. Without IHAD I wouldn’t be who I am today. I would not have the opportunities that I have had, and I definitely would not have been able to start reaching my dream of being a registered nurse.
