Nakia, Age 19

My name is Nakia and I am 19 yrs old. I attended Suitland High School, but I didn’t finish school, now I am in the process of getting my GED and working to make my daughter’s life better. I can’t wait until I complete the GED process that will be one of the biggest goals that I have accomplished.

I Have a Dream has helped me to get through school and getting my GED. They have helped me to get closer to my dreams and trying to accomplish all the goals that I have set in life. With the help of IHAD, I will be able to achieve all my goals and my dream of owning my own business.

My name is Nakia and I am eleven years old. I attend Emery Elementary School. I am in the fifth grade, my teacher's name is Mr. Ehrmann, and I live in Washington DC.

My favorite hobbies are to play basketball, sing in the choir, and go shopping. My personality is good because I like to be nice all the time. By the way, fried chicken is my favorite food.

My future job is to be a visual artist when I grow up. The way I would be is to care for my mom and care for others. Once day I plan to travel all over the world.
